Honestly, this book was fascinating. It’s narrative reads like a novel and it totally sucks you into the story quickly. It is well written and keeps you turning page after page as you read through real stories. The narrative is easy to understand and follow and feels conversational, like you’re grabbing a bourbon (neat of course) with Paul himself. If you love thrillers, this is the book for you.

Paul tells haunting stories of his long career in a field we don’t get to see or hear much about aside from fictional tv shows. This is a rare glimpse into a career many of us would never be able to stomach. The real and raw details make this unmistakably unique.

I will say that some of the stories and scenes depicted in this book were much too graphic for me, and I had a difficult time reading some of the more explicit details about the crimes Paul investigated.

I received a gifted advanced readers copy of this book.
