I was surprised at the quality of writing during this first impression. The Prologue reads like the beginning of an epic psychological thriller novel. But knowing this is a memoir and based off true events adds an ominous atmosphere for the reader. True crime and thrillers aren't my usual preferences as a reader, but this book was captivating even to me. The adult tone is established early and I know this is going to be an interesting story that touches on some heavy and hard to face topics. I think fans of the genre will absolutely love it.
