As a counselor, this intro resonated with me as someone who works in a job where we see and hear horrendous things and must learn to turn off our thoughts at home. Like Paul Holes, I also struggle with this and empathized with his struggle. Chapter one takes the reader back to the days before the infamous EAR/ONS/GSK was identified. This first look pulled me in the same way Michelle McNamara did in her book. I would love to be chosen as a first reader so I can finish this. Paul Holes is amazing.
