Paul Holes gave his career his all, to the detriment of his marriage and relationship with his family. His diligence led to the arrest of several of the worst criminals. As he recounted his investigation into the Golden State Killer, my breath was caught in my throat, frightened for him as he approached the killer.
I read lots of psychological thrillers, and I read the I'll Be Gone in The Dark, so I would love to read the story from Holes' perspective. This excerpt was wonderful, and I look forward to reading the rest of the story.
