While my boyfriend has inundated me with horror movies and I can now mostly handle those, this is real life. And I can't handle the horrors of actual people. I could barely even read the short because I was so nervous about what I would read and what from it would haunt me. No shade on the book, but this is too genuinely awful and depressing for me when I seek books for education and entertainment. The world is depressing enough as is.
