I have always been interested in crime stories and the detective work behind cases, so I was drawn to this book right away. I was immediately hooked by the first page of the novel. The author grabbed my attention with the descriptions of events and it was so heartbreaking to read about a cold case that is seemingly nowhere close to being solved. I can’t begin to imagine the toll that being a cold case detective takes on people, and the author is very candid about all of the hardships and struggles he has faced as a result of his career. I am really looking forward to reading this one. The cover is also very compelling and perfectly reflects the subject matter of the novel.
