True crime is one of my least favorite genres, however, this memoir full of true crime stores is almost compulsively easy to read and get sucked into. As it starts it reminds me of a seedy 1940's noir PI novel or movie. I am very interested in reading Paul Holes' story of his career in law enforcement working on some cases that are tabloid famous, and other cold cases that are less well known.
