This detective puts the pieces together--from interviews with victims, crime scene visits, physical evidence, and his own years of experience--to find the perpetrators of some of the most vicious crimes imaginable. His personal life suffers, from a broken marriage to strained relationships with his children, and he finds himself drinking more than usual. As a fan of cold case TV shows, I'm curious to see how he cracks the case, and how other cases in his almost 30 year career were solved. His life revolved around violent cases, and with retirement looming, how will he segue into a different career?
