What captured my attention right away is the writing style, and the way Paul Holes clearly portrays his experience, emotions, and thoughts in a way that is both brutally honest yet beautifully captivating. I found myself lost in the story, and felt as though I could not only see the scene, but see in his mind as he imagines the gruesome details of the case.
