True crime has always had a pull on me. I find myself asking the questions as to why and how the darker sides of humanity lead some to commit the cruelest of grossest of crimes on others. I also find myself wondering how the investigators solving these crimes are able to be...'normal'.
The prologue alone of this book grabbed me from the very first sentence! The emotions and inner workings of an investigator's mind are up front and center in a very thought provoking way. The writing is easy to digest and I really felt one with the man this book is about.
