This really hits home for me. No I'm not a famous detective who has solved some of the biggest crimes of my lifetime, but in his description of how he (or possibly how he doesn't) separates his life from the work he does is what I can relate to. As a pediatric trauma nurse I am often asked this same question - "how do you separate your work from your life?" Or "how can you see children like that and then go home to your own children?" And my answer is honestly very similar to his. Trying to keep things "analytical" but the truth is if you're human, you don't, it's impossible. Oh I'd love to get the chance to read more on how he answers this question while also reading about a topic I am forever fascinated by. Just this small piece has sold me. This is a must read for me. I can not wait to get my hands on this one!
