This is the first book I have read by Lynda La Plante and won’t be the last. It is the 7th in the series but I completely was immersed in this book and have not read the other six books. This is was also from the creator of the PBS Masterpiece mystery Prime Suspect. Jane Tennison is called out to a digging site because a coffin was discovered on an old convent site. What her and her partner Simon Boon discovered was a nun’s body that had been stabbed but also buried alive. The book took you through the investigation and interviews of the catholic diocese, previous nuns and old bishops. The secrets that they were keeping and why? Lots of twists and turns and so not nice nuns and bishops. I loved how Jane found the necklace. It keeps you guessing and I didn’t want to put the book down,
