I am a newbie to the Jane Tennison Series and I am loving Lynda La Plante's writing. She has an exemplary attention to detail and makes you feel as if you are there inside the book living the story. She keeps you so engaged in her writing, that you don't feel like you are getting bored reading. Jane Tennison is a likeable character but a little all over the place. I am love a good cold case mystery. Especially ones that involve Catholic religion. Scandals upon scandals. When finding a coffin buried, an autopsy would prove this person, which just so happened to be a Nun, was buried alive. ALIVE!!! Jane and her partner, Boon, have quite the story to unravel and find out who is responsible for burying someone alive. What kind of things happened in the church to cause a nun to lose her life? You will come to enjoy reading the investigation from start to finish with Tennison and Boon.
