This is a genre I really enjoy. However, I've read books by this author in the past, and I struggled with them, was unable to connect with the characters, etc. So I'm not sure how I feel about this one. The summary and sample sounds interesting, but I'm afraid I'll run into the same problem I did with four prior books. As a result, I'd probably pass on this one.
