This reads like a popular mystery novel but it's just not my style. The pacing is fast, lots of he did this or she said that. Sentences are short and it looks like it's prepping for an easy read with some intrigue. Which makes sense, as it is a murder mystery! I'm missing out on the characterization and the opening line just didn't pull me into the story.
