Right from the very beginning, this book grabbed my attention. I was caught by the exciting cover that hinted at a spellbinding story. Through to the very end of the book, my attention was glued. The main character, Ruby, an aspiring YouTuber, was on a European field trip with her French class. Along with her was her crush, her ex-best friend, her new friend and other classmates. When her friend decides to sneak out of the hotel and go to a party, Ruby tries to stop her but, along with two other students, gets caught up in the idea of a party in the catacombs under Paris. Little did they know what lay ahead: injury, blood, hysteria, death. Meanwhile, Sean, Ruby's crush, is going crazy trying to figure out what happened to the girl he liked and the other three missing students. It's a race against time to find the girls and save them from the evil that lurks beneath the surface of Paris.

This book was for older YA. There is some use of strong language and violence.

I received an advance reader copy for free, but all opinions are my own.
