Love that this is based on true crime!
Okay I was hooked from the dedication! I am so excited for this one because I love true crime, and I love fiction, so when a book is based on true crime I am so excited.
Multiple points of view with past and present time lines though it wasn't convoluted or difficult to understand. I loved reading both Ruby and Sean's points of view. I am a sucker for the male/female alternating view points and I think that this book nailed it despite seemingly being more in Ruby's point of view.
The writing is well done, and it felt relatable. I think that this is going to be an easy read. The style is one that makes it so easy to read, I would likely binge it in one sitting.
One thing that was hard was the conversation that took place as there seemed to be a lot of it. It's hard to really get into a book when so much of it is conversation, though it does make it feel like I am there with the characters. I think that it is a fine line to walk and something I would need to read the whole book to see if this was either something that worked, or became problematic.
