This book gave me the emotional rollercoaster that I was hoping for. Not only did this book give me major anxiety attacks, it made me cry and have hope for the four American girls who were just looking for an adventure but ended up in a nightmare!
This story follows Ruby and her high school French class trip to Paris. Ruby has a desire to see the world and document everything for her growing YouTube about travel and hidden gems. While Ruby wants to see the Paris Catacombs she did not foresee the events that would unfold when she went after her friend, Val, who snuck out of the hotel to attend a party with a random French guy. On the way to find Val, Ruby runs into two other classmates Selena and Olivia who get sucked into this nightmare. While the girls on their way the party one thing leads to another and they become officially lost in the catacombs with little hope of finding their way out as they begin to be chased by something out to kill them.
The other voice in this book is Sean who did not join the girls but is the one on the surface trying to lead to search for the girls. The hopelessness that Sean gives off in this book is just so heartbreaking but his bravery to continue the search even though the police write him off as loud American was heartwarming to see.
This book is one that I had a hard time putting down because there seemed to be danger at every turn! Absolutely a wonderful thriller book that is a must read!
