The colorful, unique and eerie cover of this book pulled me in, then I read the blurb! Wow! How could I resist this very ramped up feel of "From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler" from when I was a kid (many moons ago🤣!) I rarely read thrillers, but this is unputdownable from the first impression that I read. I have never been to France, but this writing places you right there in the scary intrigue of the catacombs in France! Being afraid of the dark, I am surprised at myself for wanting more of this story.... The unique plot has well-formed, realistic characters that I'd like to know more about as they personally and physically navigate throughout story. The descriptions above and below ground in Paris are fascinating and now I can't rest until I venture through these characters to a conclusion!
