The premise of UNDER THE SURFACE looked interesting and was even more so when I read that it was based on true events. The writing in the sample First Impression feels geared towards a young adult audience. The cover does well at conveying themes of the book though I don’t love it overall. The prologue jumped right into the action with chapter 1 then taking a step back a couple days to tell the story from the beginning. I’m interested to keep reading to find out what happens.
