Let me start by saying Ms Valentine has a fan in me! This didn’t read like a typical YA and went heavy on the thriller and was incredibly fast paced but not whiplash inducing (thankfully!)!! I sat down with this book at around 11 am on a Sunday thinking I would read a few chapters while it rained outside. When I came up for air it was nearly 7 pm and I was acutely aware that I skipped lunch in order to read the ever famous “just one more chapter”. Her characters were engaging and well thought out and the dual povs was refreshing. The fact that I finished this in 1 sitting is a testament to Ms Valentines writing style and how well she put this together. There were a few times I thought I knew for sure who did it (no I’m not saying what haha) but then bam nope not that one! The story was a curvy road in the night, full of twists and turns that were 100% necessary and so well executed! It’s a 5 star for me and if you like spooky, eerie, campy vibes and want to be put off from going in the woods ever again haha then you will surely love this one!
