This book is very young adult. You can tell the writing is directed at a younger audience, but the plot still keeps your interest.

I really enjoy the dual point of view with different characters and their kids. Getting to see inside the family life of the accused murderer adds an extra element to the story. The reader feels torn on who to “root” for as the good guy. I also enjoyed the different time lines. I got a little confused with all the different names, but as the story goes on it was a little easier. I feel like I can make a pretty good guess already at who the murderer is and the twin thing is pretty obvious. It reads a little predictable, but that’s how most YA mystery and thrillers are written. However, I am still hopeful for a good plot twist to come at the end! The writing and plot is good enough that even if it is a tad predictable, I would still want to keep reading.
