50 pages is simply not enough. You get just enough information about Olivia and Andie’s family dynamic to become invested. Meanwhile there is a sprinkling of Reagan’s troubled family history in a tiny town where everyone knows “the truth.”

Camp Lost Lake is getting a new lease on life after a well known murder happened that cast a shadow over the town. The owner is hiding something from her youngest daughter, who may have stumbled upon her moms secret accidentally. Is this the cause of the murders?

The lore of a small town murder being investigated by the alleged culprits own daughter is quite alluring. Hinting that the mother is guilty they’re on the run and have been for years. But, is she just avoiding the scrutiny of that small town judgment?

Leaving off with what seems to be a key piece of hidden evidence is such a tease to the reader. We are told by the victim that it contains video of SOMETHING that the police will want to see but we are not told what.

If the cover doesn’t grab your attention enough to pick up the book and at least read the synopsis then you like boring covers. The bold red catches your attention and then it piques your curiosity with the targets. I think this book has great potential, and I personally want to finish it.
