This was a great book to curl up on the couch with and read…all of it! I haven’t read a YA thriller in quite some time and Two Sides to One Every Murder did not disappoint.

Camp Lost Lake was an excellent setting. The camp had been shut down in 2008 after three murders took place there. It is now being cleaned up and reopening as a retreat.

It is in duel POV, which I love. Reagan wants to clear her mother’s name of the murders so they no longer have to run and hide from the law. Olivia wants to find out why she has been lied to her whole life, and who her real father is. They have both returned to the camp for seemingly two completely different reasons - but they soon realize that their lives are deeply intertwined. Will they be able to find their answers before the Witch of Lost Lake finds them?

The whole vibe of the book being located at the old camp was reminiscent of an old-school slasher movie. I could absolutely see this book made into one. Lots of twists and exciting turns. Were some of them predictable? Sure. Were there some parts that seemed a little too YA for me (when you reach the oatmeal conversion, you’ll know)? Yes. But it was still a fun, bloody, page-turning read from beginning to end.

Speaking of that end!! Quite the twist, and it makes me wonder if there will be another book to follow?
