I went absolutely feral over Danielle's last YA book, How to Survive Your Murder. So, when I saw she was getting ready to release another YA slasher I knew I had to get my hands on it. And as a bonus, it takes place at a summer camp! I don't know what it is about camp slashers, but they really scratch a particular itch in my brain. This one adds in some elements of family drama, more recent Gen Z pop culture, and, so far, just the right amount of gore and suspense. All of my favorite camp slasher stories are from the 1970's and 1980's, so I am interested to see how the sub-genre holds up in the more modern starting setting of late 2000's. Overall, I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on this book, one way or another.
