Danielle Valentine knows how to create suspense! From the first paragraph, I was racing to find out what would happen next... and then of course, the first chapter ended on the perfect cliffhanger. Throughout the rest of the preview, the pace kept building and drawing me to speed read. I love the way the story shifted from thriller to mystery, but the reader is still drawn in with so many questions. I want to finish this book so badly!
The characters were all written uniquely and the changing timeline was done strategically. I loved reading from Olivia's perspective and felt like I immediately connected with her as she's ostracized from the group and questioning the truth of her family history. Reagan intrigues me with her feistiness and sass. The flashbacks are perfectly timed and reveal just enough to have me guessing. This is the type of book that I could knock out in one sitting. I can't wait to read it all!
