In Twice as Perfect, we are following seventeen year old Adanna and her role in her family and school. She has an older brother, named Sam, who we do not see for awhile because he is estranged from the family. It is made evident that the reason had to do with expectation of her Nigerian culture.

In school, she is expected to excel in all classes as well as apart of the Debate team. As she finds her way through assisting her cousin Genny for her wedding, she struggles to find time for herself and her parents; especially since being the perfect is needed with Sam out of the picture. Hence the title, Twice as Perfect.

The reason I gave this three stars is because it was an average read for me. There was not anything that stood out where I felt emotionally connected to the story which is usually when I rate four or five starts. I still do recommend as it was a good YA story.
