After reading the preview of this book, I was so impressed with many different aspects of it. I really like the Nigerian representation in the novel as I do not see many books written from this perspective. This novel focuses on 17 year old Adanna who is a Nigerian Canadian girl who struggles with family issues (including an estranged brother and the expectations of her traditional parents). I was a big fan of Adanna throughout the novel and found her to be very real and relatable. There is a lot going on plot-wise in this story, but I definitely am intrigued with the storyline. I think the author has done a great job crafting this unique story, and the cover is also beautiful as well!
