I know the formulaic nature of certain young adult books is a comfort to some, but I’ve become so bored with it all. I imagine this will be a popular read but there is absolutely nothing within the synopsis or first look that appeals to me. I want more from a book than simple writing and a story that feels like something I’ve read a dozen times already.
