Interesting but not for me

Twice as Perfect has an interesting premise - a Nigerian-Canadian teenaged girl navigating life with her feet in two different communities. Ada is a witty and fun character, though I had trouble really forming an attachment to her.

Overall, the use of Igbo or pidgin slang throughout the story was slightly jarring because it was never fully explained. While it did lend a more authentic voice to the story, it made it difficult to relate to the story when it was at times difficult to understand what characters were saying.
