This seems like a cute young adult coming of age teen story. There seems to be a lot happening around the main character and not necessarily to the main character, so my interest is a little divided. I do like the aspect of a wedding being a part of the plot because those always provide great family drama, but I do find it interesting that it isn't a biological family and more fictive kin.
