"Talent is equally distributed, opportunity is not," is probably the best quote I can use to sum of what I read so far. This book outlines the hardships Black individuals face due to their race. However, I was not surprised to find out that I knew so little about Black contributions to technological advancements throughout history, as like many others, I was taught a history that was completely whitewashed. Moreover, I constantly question why Black businesses are working "twice as hard" as their white counterparts. I want to read more about why that is and hopefully the book will offer some solutions on how we as a society can level the playing field a little more. I thought the cover was just enough to draw my attention and thought it was fitting.
