Timely and Thought-Provoking
Considering the ongoing struggles of the "Black Lives Matter" movement as well as the AAPI Against Hate, I feel that this book could not have come at a better time. Even in this short excerpt, the topics tackled are not unique to black individuals but can resonate with almost any person of color living in a predominately white society. The cover is beautiful and bold, and the rainbow addition lends thematic weight to the subject of judging people by the color of their skin in a society that proclaims to be colorblind.
