I think this book is written for Black readers in mind because every time "we" is used, it's assuming the reader is also Black like the author. I would love to read about Black entrepreneurs and professionals, see their struggles with racism and learn their lessons, and most importantly give them credit where it's due BUT it feels like it's not meant for me. I'm a person of color, I'm also part of the minority, but the voice of this book feels very exclusive to the Black community and gives off "othering" feels. I don't feel comfortable reading the book, not because it only focuses on Black stories, but because it is written to the Black reader and I am not Black. I don't think these lessons are meant for my race even if racism is an issue for all minorities.
