As a first look, this excerpt doesn't provide a lot to go on. It's the introduction, but it jumps right into the authors' perspectives without providing any sort of introduction! The last paragraph finally introduces the book which is helpful. And the authors' sharing of their own experiences and perspectives is great - it's just a bit strange to plunge right in without more of an introduction beforehand. I wish the first look included a bit of the first chapter as well. Nevertheless, this book sounds like it will be a good read for anyone interested in business, entrepreneurship, leadership, and/or race.
