I wasn't that interested in this book at first because of the title and the cover. I honestly assumed it was historical fiction. It's more contemporary. The first look I got for this was long, about sixty pages, and the book itself is only like three hundred total. It felt like a fast and easy read, but it does address serious topics. This book had me a little anxious from the start, this kid really needs to carry some pepper spray. But it kept me reading until the end. This was also then hard to find on Goodreads and rate. I really liked the relationship the main character had with his grandma, it was heart warming and inspirational to see. There's also a bit of romance. The high school bullying and the way administration was handling it made me really mad, I liked the way the main character handled it. I hadn't heard of this author before but glad I took a chance
