I loved reading this book. The main character was well-developed and relatable. This book tackled the issue of systemic racism in schools through a well-written and fast paced story. The author didn't shy away from addressing major issues involving race and the different types of responses that come. I loved seeing how different students, parents, and teachers responded to what was happening because it showed that people respond to racism and aggression in different ways. The book also demonstrated how a narrative can be changed and transformed to accomplish different purposes.
