This book was so good and yet so hard to read because we should live in a world where the main character could peacefully pursue his interest in robotics instead of having to launch a strategic battle against his school in an effort to fix problems that never should have existed in the first place. Nevertheless, Gil is an admirable character as he tries to make changes to ensure that others don't have to endure what he is going through. I appreciated reading about his personal life as well as what was going on at school. It provided a sobering reminder that when people are dealing with challenges in one area of life, you have to always remember that you're only seeing a part of what they are dealing with. It's a well-written book with a strong main character and a storyline I won't soon forget. It's really impressive that a book this good was the author's debut novel!
