This sounds like an amazing read where a black young man is attending an elite school in New York, but faces constant racism and that he doesn't belong just because of his skin color. It's something I imagine black men and women face on a daily basis. I'm curious to see how Gil rises above and prove anyone who has ever doubted him wrong. The cover looks good and would draw young readers, I think.
