The book seems to really handle an important social issue - racism, specifically racism in academia. There's a disparity in the way certain students, and especially Black students, are treated in schools, and the way their futures are discussed, and it really sounds like we'll delve into that concept a lot in this story. I think it'll be a gripping story that's both hard to read and necessary to read.
The cover is alright - the color scheme sort of makes me feel like they're in school in Jamaica, which as far as I know, they aren't... it's a little too green-forward and that's coming from a person who likes green!
