I wasn't expecting this book to be sad right away, but it is as you can already understand the struggle the main character is going through at the moment. You don't know the main character's name or much information except that he doesn't want to think about not being in Brooklyn. It sucks you into wondering what's going on with the main character and how they will deal with it.
I can't same I'm the hugest fan of the cover. There is a lot going on and it seems very cluttered, which I hope the book doesn't end up being.
