I found the introduction to Gil's story dynamic and engaging so far! He's a multidimensional character that drew me in to the story of his transition to a new private school. I empathized with some aspects of his story, particularly the lack of access to resources in his own school that necessitated his pursuit of a fair and equitable education. I cannot wait to learn more about him and his world and experiences.
I also loved the cover, which I think highlights a lot of important aspects of the story that we've already been introduced to and has me interested in finding out about the others.
