This book was a great middle grade urban fantasy. The book talked about trying to fit in at a new school and make friends (which many people can relate to) while also being a fun story of magic and mayhem. Adding the fact that she's psychic to the story just emphasized how hard it is to fit in with what other people think you should be. The main character was both relatable and interesting to read about. I really enjoyed reading this book.
While I'm generally not the biggest fan of middle grade novels, this book was a wonderful one. The story was well-paced and well-written. I put it in my classroom, and I have had several students check it out already. I'm so glad that I got this story from bookishfirst and had a chance to read it.
