This is a debut middle grade series! I love to support debut authors. Totally Psychic is a middle grade fantasy by Brigid Martin. I think it was really funny and cute! I love this cover, it fits the books aesthetic very well. This book follows a girl named Paloma Ferrer. Everyone in her family is psychic, but her speciality involves messages through flowers(note the flowers on the cover!). This was a unique twist. When she starts at a new school she plans to launch her psychic career on a social media streaming platform. I love how current this is and I think kids today will really connect with the plot. This has cuban American representation which I like to see. Her relationship with her mom upset me a bit but I enjoyed the friendships putting family relations aside. This book made me want to read more about mediums, I find it a really fascinating concept.
