I always love books that have a supernatural element to them and I liked how Paloma's family all having these psychic powers was normalized from the beginning. The idea of the story sounds really good and something I would probably recommend to my young niece, but I'm not really the target audience for this.
The book did have a bit of a Coco feel to it, which is awesome. People can learn so much about different cultures through movies and books, especially young kids. Just from this short glimpse, there was a lot of touches of the Cuban-American culture and I hope there's maybe a sort of guide at the back for people to reference. These are always helpful and invite the audience to learn more if they are not familiar with new cultures.
