This honestly felt more like a school paper written by a middle schooler about her grandmother than a middle grade novel. While the cover is absolutely gorgeous, this felt more like a stream of consciousness rather than a cohesive story. The concept is super cute and I think it could definitely be something more, but it feels rough to me, at the moment.
