Ok, this book is moving up in my TBR! Starting off in the beginning I can immediately tell that I love the MC, Wil. Wil is snarky and clever, and I love how quirky the writing is. I can tell this a book I would stay up until 2 am reading, I am already pulled into the mystery and intrigue laid out in just the first few chapters. The writing style flows smoothly and the dialogue is so smart and easy to read. I literally was just turning the pages as fast as I could to see what happened next and before I knew it an hour had already flown by. I love Wil’s initial dialogue in the police station, and the fact she teams up with her prior best friend to try and solve the mystery of her missing mother. I love an angsty detective novel, with some horror vibes. Wil is actually helping Elwood with a cult engrained family, and some really scary elements that the cult practices. Try it out!
