Wil Greene is a girl on a mission looking for the truth about her missing mother.
In order to get the answers she needs, she forms a reluctant alliance with her former best friend, Elwood Clarke, who discovers that his father is the leader of a cult, and Elwood is marked to be the next sacrifice. As they search for a way out, they uncover shocking truths about their community, their families, and themselves.

This gripping YA horrormance told from two alternating perspectives is filled with dark secrets and eerie twists. The plot unfolds very quickly and with great attention to detail keeping the read fully engaged, but I found myself having to reread a few parts to really grasp what was going on.

This genre is not my typical read; however, I really enjoyed reading this book! The characters are developed well and are instantly relatable, and the fast pace mimics the heart-pounding danger that awaits them around every turn.

Mystery, romance, teenage drama, and Satanic rituals make this YA book a must-read.

Thank you to Viking Books, Penguin Teen, and BookishFirst for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
