I've always been a sucker for anything cult-related, but there is a serious lack of decent cult-related fiction being marketed today. Most entertainment has become very homogeneous, bland, and boring. This book actually exceeded any expectations I went in with. It's an extremely tense and mysterious story, and it is guaranteed to keep you turning the pages until its thrilling conclusion. I cannot really even think of another book that this could be compared to. It's quite original. I do wish it came to a happier conclusion, but it is what it is. This made me nervous, thrilled, and sad, all at the same time. I definitely wish I could forget everything about this book, simply so I could go back and experience it again for the first time. I highly recommend Together We Rot for fans of cult fiction, thrillers, horror, young adult, or romance.
