This book sounds unlike anything I've read before, which makes me VERY interested in checking it out! I like the idea of best friends gradually becoming more while trying to stay out of sight and solving the mystery of Wil's mother's disappearance/possible murder. And the idea of her friend experiencing strange things relating to his family's cult...the whole concept is SO intriguing. And I still have room for more nominations on my "Best of 2023" list....
